Our personal website, heidland.com, was taken down the afternoon of Sunday, April 15, 2012 due to spam hijack.

The CMS software we originally installed [2004] for our website was outdated and fraught with security holes; so much so on that the morning of April 15 Doug received auto-notices from the firewall on our server that spammers from Brazil and China had hijacked our website to host spam and phishing frauds.

To ensure the security of our server, and to prevent spurious phishing/spam emails being spoofed from our personal website, Doug immediately disabled and uninstalled the outdated software and wiped the hosting account to ensure no additional issues.

Doug will be installing a new CMS platform, though we honestly don't utilize this portal all that much. You would have better luck touching base with us on one of our social networking profiles.
